What do I need to bring?
Your dress! Your underskirt/ petticoat if you have one that you plan to wear. Your wedding day shoes and your wedding underwear if it might affect the fit of the dress.
When should I book in my alterations?
Ideally I like a minimum 10 weeks for the whole process. We can start as early as you want if you would like the dress ready ahead of schedule. If the wedding has a tight turnaround alterations can be completed in a short time however you will need to be flexible with availability for fittings. If you want a bespoke element made or changed to your dress more time would be preferred. Please let me know ASAP if you are customising your dress beyond standard alterations.
How many people can I bring to my fitting?
I have space to comfortably seat 3 guests.
Where am I?
Head to the contact page on my website for details. Please check your satnav is taking you to West Wycombe.
Do you have parking?
No, I don’t have a carpark however there is free on street parking in West Wycombe or there is a pay and display at the Walled Garden at the end of the high street.
How many sizes can a dress be altered by?
As a rule, 2 dress sizes are the maximum recommended. More than that, there is a chance you will compromise the design. Only certain styles can come down more than this or the dress just won’t work. Please reach out to discuss if you have questions - a dress which needs several inches taken from it will have fit/design compromises. I suggest ordering your dress AFTER you have lost weight, please DO NOT loose all your planned weight after you have ordered your dress or the fit and design will be compromised.
Do you alter Bridesmaids & Mother of Brides outfits?
If I can and have availability I will. I don’t offer Saturday appointments to bridesmaids or MOBs though as they are reserved for Brides.
Do you alter mens suits?
No, I generally don’t. I’d recommend going to a mens tailors for formalwear.
